Solar farm for an irrigation scheme in Mashonaland

A commercial irrigation scheme in Mashonaland needed to keep its pivots running through the dry season. The 1.2 MWp plant is grid-tied, with diesel backup for extended cloudy spells.

Panels are mounted on driven piles at a fixed 15-degree tilt, chosen to balance yield against wind loading. The plant is monitored remotely and cleaned twice a year.
